i have a 55 f100 with a 223 6 cly and a 4 speed trany and want to change to either a later 300 6 cly or a 302. what i wanted to know is about the existing rear motor mount. does this have to be removed or will either engine mount up to it? i don't know at this time what transmission i would like but i am leaning towards manual transmission.
does any body have a wiring diagram for the later model ford engines. i live in alaska and parts are a little harder to find up here. thanks for any help you can send my way.
It is my understanding that a bellhousing from a truck like a 66 F500 with a 6 cylinder will fit a 50's F100 and bolt to the 300 or 302/351W/351C/400FMX. (This bellhousing has the engine mounts.)
if you have the factory suspension i have a motor mount i could sell you for 20 bucks.. it bolts onto the frame liek a cross member and allows the 302 or ford small block to mount to it.. its the one that is in all the catalogs..

The '65-'66 300c.i.er has the same U-shape Front engine mount as the 223c.i.ers, I don't remember about the rear engine mount though, it's late.
The trans will be any the will bolt-up to the 289/300/302/351 family of Bellhousing.
Cheque out my "Galley" to see how the 300c.i.er w/ C-4 transplant was done in my '58 Mercury M-100 truck.
