I have an opportunity to buy this system for my 6.0L:
It's and MBRP Exhaust full turbo back. The down pipe is 3.5” and the rest of the exhaust is 4”. I believe the tip is 5”. and Airaid intake with the optional prefilter for Dusty climates. Does anyone have this setup on their rig? Let me know. I'm wondering on performance and issues with voiding my warranty. Thanks.
Shy of the Airair intake that is what I got on my trck. Had it for about 2-3 months now and love it. The sound is a little deeper and you can hear the turbo a bit more. It is not crazy sounding since I kept the cat. I did notice a slight change on the getty-up the truck has. If I drive like normal I am getting about 0.5 - 1.0 mpg better. People will argue this point so I'll also state that I changed my fuel filters 500miles after I changed the exaust so maybe that was part of the gain.
I can not speak to the warranty issues as my truck has not had any problems that required me to go back to Ford.
Just did mbrp turbo back (cat in) last weekend and I'm very pleased. Spools up quicker, I don't expect to see better mpgs intil the newness wears out because my foot is always on the loud pedal. Stock air filter.
I spent the weekend installing my MBRP turbo back exhaust (left the cat), guages and an AFE stage 2 intake. My EGR plug accidently fell off too.
I drove it a couple times over the weekend then made a few adjustments to the exhaust to eliminate a rubbing issue (the hanger on the cat was rubbing the frame, nothing the sawzall couldn't cure).
I'm very pleased. Haven't had enough time to comment on better gas mileage but power seems better and after the EGR came unplugged the turbo spools up faster. Guages are nice to monitor what's going on under the hood.
