Rich/poor = number.

The only difference between the rich and poor is a number!

"Jobs Americans wont do", is bunch a crap.

Illegal emigants are driving wages down!

Whatever happened to a living wage?

The wealthy are taking advantage.!

Any thoughts ? ?

The philosophy of corporate Ameica is: Charge people whatever you can for your product because they will have to pay it !

Banks
Cable sompanies
Phone companies

There is only so much money for some.

There are so many things wrong with our system it's not even funny. However, I firmly believe that the root cause of everything is greed. That's what it all boils down to. And I'm not talking about immigrants doing cheap labor, I'm talking about the people who enable it. Politicians and businessmen - i.e. people who want MONEY. And when they make money, they want more and more.

It's a sad situation that's going to be tough to fix.

Jobs Americans won't do. When was the last time you applied for a job digging ditches, roofing a house in 100F weather, cleaning out the port-a-potty, and I can name a few more. Lets face it, if it isn't a high paying job, in A/C, with huge benefits, Americans are not interested- welfare is a better option. Most of you are not near the Mexican border like I am- it's down the road. These "illegals" will bust their backsides for $15.00 an hour and zero complaints, no union harassment, no demand for breaks because it's hot, no potty breaks every ten minutes- they just work and personally, they do a darn fantastic job. Some of the best masons I have ever seen were "illegals". Do we need to control the borders? Oh yeah. But it won't happen in my lifetime. Even our military has brought in Apache choppers with electric guns to try and stop the "mules" from bringing the dope across. The results? The druggies shot one down, it crashed in the middle of the hiway killing both men in the chopper. Now we have a bunch of morons called the Minutemen down here and those idiots think that just because they are out there and the "illegals" will see them and therefore, won't cross the border- these guys are nuts. The "mules" will kill you just so they can drive your truck to town because it's hot. And that's a weekly occurance here. This ain't downtown New York. But then again, this isn't the subject of this thread.

- It's more than just simple greed, it's impatience mixed with greed - they not only want it all, they want it all NOW!

- It used to be a "good company" was one that made a good product/service and treated their employees well. Now the definition of a "good company" is one that makes stockholders (not the people who do the work) rich in a hurry...

- people who work cheap (illegals or others) only can do that when the people who they work for (including me and you) shop by price alone.

am I a bad person for being tired of things dealing with the economy and illegal immigration? I mean, I care, but I'm tired of hearing about it.

Not bad, but if you're not trying to be part of the solution, you're being part of the problem.

Tired of hearing about it? Don't read the post.

What makes me mad, is that they come to our country illegally. Now some people talk of letting them stay and be legal. In return for this, we have to learn their language (I can not say on this website how much I hate high school Spanish, however, I gotta' take it for college). If you live here, you should learn English. I'd learn Spanish real good if I moved to Mexico.

No- I'll stand in that corner with you. 11 million people aren't leaving, the reality is we need a solution. Everyone's pretty familiar with the problem, I'm just interested in a realistic solution.

That isn't going to be easy- I think we've already established the West and Southwest has a little different perspective on the situation- but our economies run differently too. No simple problem, no easy solutions.

Is there room in that corner for a third person?!! It's not that I'm tired of hearing about the issue, it's that I'm tired of hearing people regurgitate the same ridiculous, unsubstantiated, over dramatized, simply to get ratings, garbage that some mindless talking head on one of the cable news networks just read off of a TelePrompter. I know this may be hard for some to believe, but just because the news says it's a "fact" doesn't mean it's a fact. And when they say because of "A" we have situation "B", doesn't make that true either. What is true is that just because the news says an issue is a crisis, and a few soon-to-be-up-for-re-election-politicians jump on the bandwagon, doesn't mean it really is a crisis.
