Been working for about 2 months now installing a Procharger on my old truck and I just wanted to share with you guys how it feels to FINALLY get to take it down the street. Got lots of tuning to do but so far everything feels good. I've got a BG blowthrough carb jetted fat as h*ll and all the timing out of it but it still pulls hard. Plan to sneak up on the setup and can't wait to get to the track!
There's a picture of my setup in my galley and I hope to post some ET and MPH #'s soon.
It's a 429 with a C6. I bought a used head unit from a friend for $600 (check ebay) and made the bracket and pulleys. That's an Extreme Velocity bonnet on the carb. Im sure Procharger makes a kit for just about any motor but my pockets ain't that deep. Drove around a little yesterday. Man am I gonna love this thing.. Hope I can stay out of trouble.
The closest track to me (45 miles) is down for a total overhaul. Could be a couple of months before they re-open. I've got my A/F ratio right about where i want it and 10 lbs of boost. Man it really woke this thing up! Woo Hooo!
