What to do?

Joe,
I am glad to see that at least one leg of the trip is coming together. Since I am down in New Mexico and unless someone gets very lost I doubt I will get a chance to participate. Once things start moving I will gladly toss in some gas money or maybe arrange for a hotel night along the route.
Here's another couple of ideas for you for finding relay members along the route;
1. Start a new thread encompassing the entire FTE site
2. Contact Vendors (our sponsor list above is a good place to start) Isn't Speedway Motors in Nebraska?
3. Do an internet search for local car clubs, rod runs, community groups, etc...heck, even Aunt Mabel's bridge club.
I think you are right, you could probably get some media attention going which would probably generate some sponsorships to help fund gas, food, hotels, etc
This has the potential to be huge (a logistical nightmare, but huge and fun)

I have done it many times. Go for it dont look back. Bring a common tool box, and
always bring an electric fuel pump. Ill bet that truck will bring you home perfectly.
Many brand new trucks come back on the hook. Look at it this way I drive that
mileage all the time loaded with my F8, I dont break down.

It looks like we've got about 8 drivers so far. We've got them from Sioux Falls to Omaha, and a little broken up in between Omaha and Salt Lake City. And then We may have a driver or two between SLC and Pendleton, where it looks like stroker_diesel will be able to pick up a portion of the last leg of the trip. This just might work guys, and now I am getting excited. I've got help threads in the affected areas of the route, and have been getting some good hits from them. I'll try and pull everyone interested together, and we may have to start a fresh thread for everyone to chime in on. Keep it up guys, and thank you all very much for your help and support. I'll start getting things together in the way of spare parts, and repair items.
