Plea for Help (F2 Content)

Our children's school was generously donated an early Ford pickup which has been painted by a local artist; she also customized the interior. The truck is a little rough, but we are going to auction the truck off for the benefit of the school. One problem is that we don't know exactly what it is, so any information/thoughts/guidance would be appreciated and extremely helpful.

The truck is titled as a FORD 1952, with no model given. The first 3 digits of the serial number (per the title) as F3R, which I understand would mean it's an F3 with a V8 (would that be that flathead 239 CID). The engine looks original, or at least period correct to me, based on the small, old carburetor. Would this most likely be an F3? We do not want to advertise anything that would be wrong or misleading.

EBAY has a Charity program for auctioning things, so this is most likely the avenue we will pursue. Would it be appropriate to list the truck with a link to the auction?

Could we see some pictures? Here is how.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?

How to upload pictures to the FTE Forums. - YouTube. Thanks Sam Rusty_Old_F250. Best we can find is that this video was done by Gundown64

Hello,

You are correct....that VIN prefix does indicate that your truck is an F3. Here's an image of a VIN decoder that you can use to break down the entire VIN. That being said, if you snapped a couple of pics, including one of the engine, there are some flathead V8 aficionados on this site who can help you properly identify the engine. Some of the data is found on the data plate inside the glovebox door, although there is no guarantee that all of the original drivetrain parts are still installed.

While Arctic has helpfully provided the pic posting instructions, if you have a photobucket or other public viewing site, you can use it to share. One of the regulars here can get them on FTE.

I would really like to see pictures of this truck. I'm interested in how the artist painted it and customized the interior.
