Well, my passenger side manually extendable tow mirror extended just fine the last time...but now it is stuck and I can't push it in. I smacked it pretty good a few times, but no go. I suspect I have to take it apart somehow. Anyone else had any experience with this problem? Thanks.
I have the same problem with my passenger side mirror as well. It has been that way since I bought it back in August. Has anyone been able to fix this problem? Please assist.
I helped a buddy of mine fix his. His mirrors folded both ways. We folded it out to 90 degrees from door and while he put steady pressure inward I gently tapped on the arms with a rubber mallet. We also sprayed armorall on the slides and inside as much as we could. Alternate between top and bottom. We came to the conclusion that he must have over extended it. It took a little effort but it eventually broke loose and now slides like it should. Maybe this will work for you to.
I've tried moving mine in/out before and nothing...
From what I can tell on Fords web site, extendable tow mirrors is an option. You may not have extendable mirrors. Mine did not have them until I tore one of and had to replace them.
Mine definately has the extendable mirrors. My drivers side one goes in and out...however the passenger side is stuck in the "out position" Any Suggestions?
