Towing Mirrors For 2001 SD
I've tried the forum search without any luck...
I recently bought a 2001 F-250 SD 7.3. The only time it gets driven is when I need to move sea containers for my side business. It has the standard power mirrors on it, but I really need the extended towing mirrors so I can see around the eight foot containers when I'm on the highway.
Can anyone tell me what years to look at in the wrecking yards and how involved is it to change mirrors out on one of these?

Any year super duty mirrors 1999-2016 will bolt right up. Wiring will probably not be plug and play. I'd look for a set of 2008+ mirrors. I had the stock rounded tow mirrors on my 02 and changed to the newer square tow mirrors. Night and day difference. The newer ones are so much better when towing.

They are really easy to swap out.
I think extending power mirrors in the original style would have the same plug. If you get lighted ones they won't. I couldn't say one way or the other about the 2008-up having the same plug.
