i am about 45 minutes to 1 hour away i think. 20 miles or so from the MD/PA line south of Littlestown. i dont know if i'll make it or not. i'd hate to break something, as this is my daily driver, plus i dont have money to spend like that if something breaks. if you pay for whatever breaks, ill go.
Hey you don't have to dyno - just come for the fun!! It is a GOOD, black smoke rollin time!! Plus it would definitely be cool to have some fellow FTE'ers there
If I was less than an hour, I'd go - hell, if it was like 3 hours away (it's over 14 hours from me though ), I'd still go. Like Cat said, even just to hang out, meet some people, watch some dyno runs, and maybe learn a thing or two.
im tryin to talk my buddy into having a dyno day at the dealership he works at. its in clinton il its one of the largest svt, roush, dealers in the country, and they do alot of aftermarket work on them too. other than my buddy they are very ignorant about diesels, so its kind of a challenge. me and tj have been trying to talk them into gettin into diesel performance, they are seriously thinking about it. if they do it, im gonna try as hard as i can to get a job there. that would be the best job ever. ill keep everybody posted if they decide to have a dyno day
yea the aftermarket guy there seems to think that they cant dyno a diesel because theres no plug wire to get a tach reading off of. i know you can buy a kit where you can put a piece of reflective tape on the balencer and an eye to read it though. i know some places can do it by mph too. i was kinda thinkin puttin the inductive lead around a injector power wire to get a reading. its basically the same principal an injector fires once every other revolution, same as a spark plug. i dont know i might be wrong though about it working
