cordless impact

hey guys i am thinking about getting a cordless impact gun. i am torn between 3 of them #1 mac tools 19.2v 240 ft lbs of tq, #2 ingersoll rand 19.2v 350 lbs of tq, and milwakee 28v 325 ft lbs of tq. i have used the mac and i like the way it feels but it cant get lug nuts that are on real tight off. i saw the milwakee and it seems too big, i am leening about 70% towards the ingersoll has anyone got any of these and what do you think?

The I/R is decent, but take a look at the DeWalt one, it's pretty good too. IIRC, it's made by the same company that makes the Mac one, for quite a bit less.

IIRC= if I recall correctly
Never mind, looks like they dropped their high voltage model. They only have an 18v model in the 1/2" size, and it's only good for about 137ft/lbs.

Before you buy it, see if the store owner will escort you, the corless impact gun, and an appropriately sized socket outside to your truck, and remove one lugnut. Then reinstall it.

If the lug nut doesn't come off, it's not a useful tool.

Just my 2 cents

Let us know how that works. A cordless impact would be nice, but I have found that the air impacts usually have more power.

o.k i got it and used it. first i must say the i/r feels great and well balanced. the first test was tearing down a tired 351, i started with the accessories and they were no match, nest was the intake upper and lower, efi, again no problem. o.k it got tough here the head bolts, the outer head bolts came out no problem but the inner head bolts it wouldn't take off, i had to use a breaker bar and crack them loose then it was o.k. after all that i had to put on new brakes so i tried the lug nuts, and surprise they came right off. i used it for about 4 hours on the same battery and it was great. i have to say this is one of the best tools i have ever bought in my life. one more thing the flywheel bolts on the 351 i got 3 out of 6 off with the cordless impact the last 3 i had to use the air. i hope this helps u guys out.

I only use my dewalt 14.4 cordless impact for lagging through wood and pulling apart small things

I have an antique cordless impact. It's designed by a joint venture between craftsman and Eswing. I put the 1/2" breaker bar on and wack it with my hammer!
