I am in the process of connecting my throttle linkage in my 50 F1; using 1990 5.0L EFI. I need to shorten throttle linkage and am considering using the stock pedal/accelerator linkage instead of hanging pedal. Anyone done this ?
Like 53fatfndr said....Lokar. Thats what I used on my truck, except I used their billet pedal too, I have their throttle cable and kickdown cable for my AOD. Pretty easy, I just got done fabricating a new throttle/kickdown braket to mount on my manifold for it, that was the only problem I had.
My understanding is that the Lokar throttle linkage comes in standard sizes; the reason I am looking for linkage is that the 1990 CV cable is about 2" too long. Does Lokar customize the length, wil I have to replace the kick down as well ?

The Lokar cables are you cut to fit. Throttle and Kickdown.
Does the kickdown seem like it will work?
How much short is flathead throttle linkage?
Are you around next week maybe we can get together and look it over?
