Need Help Asap!!

alright, well the last own put an alt belt that was too long to rigged it so it would work, to tonight I went and got the correct sized one and on the way home the one on there popped off, lucky for me a fellow bronco owner saw me on the side and pulled me back to my place. (very nice guy) WELL..... I got the new one put on and now it doesnt want to start. its cranking but not turning over. It does have spark though, and fuel. any ideas?
two possiblities...
- does it matter what slot on the belt drive?
- the fuel filter was full of fuel, ususally it isnt like that.

truck is an '84 with a 300 inline six in it.

THANKS!

Probably drained the battery because the alternator wasn't charging the battery while you were driving. Connect some jumper cables from your battery to a running car while you crank her.
