05E16 final vedict

It's been a while since iv'e been on here so I missed some info on recall 05E16. What is the final verdict ? Will my '06 6.0 actually be better or worse
after the voluntary recall?

EGT up about 50F at idle, about 100-150F thru acceleration. Truck starts better in the morning. No decrease in fuel millage

Mine likes it. Mileage towing went up 1.3 mpg but they replaced EGR valve too. Seems to run better and kinda quiet allmosts goes asleep going down the hiway.

My first towing experience after the reflash was pitiful. Pulling a mere 5000 lbs the tranny hunted constantly and mileage was awful. I was gonna take it back to the dealer--but I had to take another road trip first. Just home from 1400 mile trip--pulling the same load--and the truck is back to its old self. No downshifting except on extreme inclines at 75+ mph--mileage is good. So I guess the computers had to go through a re-learning phase after the re-flash--whatever it is, I'm back to being very happy with the truck. (except for the paint flaking off the F250 emblems!)

05 PSD CC LB had the05e16 reflash, my mileage went up. I had never touched 18mpg before, now I have done it twice. Sam here VAdean the first tow with it was terrible just didn' t feel like the old self towing Mpg went down but on the tow home oh yea back to its self, power wise and everything. I think the tranny needed to relearn. Im happy with the reflash.
