Shifting Problem
I have a 2005 F150 Super Crew FX4 with about 3500 Miles on it and I have had it in the the dealership twice now due to a harsh shudder between 1st and 2nd gear I was told that there were three other trucks in for the same problem and was wondering if anyone else has had that problem as well?

I have an 05 S Crew 4x2. I am sitting at about 3300 miles and have not experienced any sifting problems in any gear. The shift duration is a little long but that will improve once I get a tuner or shift kit.

Mine only does it after you drive highway speeds for about 20 miles or so and then stop and start. When going into second gear it shudders badly to the point the windshield wipers almost bounce off of the windshield. The replaced the valve body and the accumulator piston and it improved but under a load it still does it.

I have a 2006 SCREW the only shudder i fell with mine is every now and then rounding a curve it will hesitate or shudder. Other than that towing boat and trailer is no problem. I do notice i have a wine in mone in 1st gear and that maybe it winds out a little in 1st gear but other gears are smooth. The bog thing I have noticed is it moves pertty good in 1st without your foot on the pedel. Do not know if this is normal but i also have a high idle.

My 05 Screw is getting a new tranny put in tomorrow..... Bad Valve body, and i was having the same shudder!!!! Just an FYI

My 05 screw with 3500 miles also in the shop fpr a week now with tranny problems. Mine went out all together. it was a day after I installed the Edge Tuner thought I did something wrong but guess it was just a coincidence. Kind of scared to install it again when I get the truck back
