Had new key programed after getting my truck back new key in truck passenger
side door open making sure my remote door locks work when I here something
my pedal go all the way up iam not no were close to the button has this happen to anyone
Sorry about the post. The new key was in the ingition, with it turned off. Iam standing
on the passenger side with the door open. I use my remote to see if the doors would
lock. When I hit the door locks on the remote the pedals came all the way up.I did
have a new key made because when I got my truck stolen they still had a key so
ford reprogrammed the keys and remotes I was making sure they all work.
yes I do. Ford said it was the memory seat. He just pushed memory one on the seat
and the remote started working. But what I don't understand is why would the remote
have anything to do with the pedals
I think it has something to do with the key being in the ignition while you are using the fob. There are redundancies built in (like you cant lock your truck with the keys in the ignition... it just keeps unlocking itself). You must have stumbled upon some sort of reset procedure.
Your memory seats are programmed into your Remote entry system. If you unlock your doors with your other remote the pedals will automatically go to the other position. The memory seat feature will move your seat, mirrors, and pedals. If you want to get really crazy you can program mem#2 on your seat with the mirrors tilted down and in (for backing) and hit it when in park. Just before you go to Drive while in neutral hit mem #1 and the mirrors will go back to your set position.
