Pro Comp Tires What do think about them I heard alot mixed feeling on them.
Before I fork out the cash for new rubber I like to know you'r input.
Yea I like to have a set of TOYO but if you can find a set they are Pricey.
I looking on running 37 or 38 inch tires most likley the Pro Comp Extreme AT's, What kind of miilage should I get out a set do they say round and balance or do they just fall a part I heard they dry rot easy ?.
Tires are not cheep just dont want to purchase junk.
I am running Pro Comp AT 35x12.5 and have not had any problems yet. Only about 1500 miles on them. They are reasonably quiet and had them in mud and snow. They seemed to perform well in the snow, but they gum up pretty quick in the clay mud I have around home.
I am running 315/75R16 mud terrains. I have about 40,000 on them with no complaints except that one of the tires is scalloping. They have worked great in the snow and the mud.
When I get new tires I am unsure if I will get them again. Price being the issue, but if you can get them while the 4 for the price of 3 deal is running then go for it.
i am running 33x12.5 ProComp Mud Terrains and I love them. Not too loud on the road like boggers or super swampers and they tear up the mud, good traction, and intermitting corner lugs dig well. very good side wall strength cuz i hit alota rocks, roots, and ruts and they hold up swell.
i also run 33x12.5 mud terrains..... in fact this is the second truck i have had them on. i think they are great. i use them in snow a bit, and they work real well. i also bought them when they were 4 for the price of 3.
Im running 38.50X14.50 pro comp XremeA/T, I only have 2500 miles on them so cant help you with tread wear but they do good in mud.I have all so ran 33 in. pro comp Xterrains on my jeep and they were great offroad but tread did wear faster on the pavement.
As long as we are talking tires any body heard good or bad on the Mickey Thomson ATZ tire I know the rest of there tire line is know to be a short life tire that wears fast.
I was woudering if this is a long wear tire I do mostly street driveing 70 miles round trip to work and back 5 days a week.
I just put a set of 315/75/16 Pro Comp A/T's on my 2000 F350 Crew cab along with new wheels. The tire shop had originally said that I had some problems with my old tires but then said it must be the wheels too. SO I broke down and ordered wheels and tires.
The new tires ride extremely smooth and quiet......I have been running 70 on the interstate and put the truck in nuetral and listened for them to roar....nothing to write home about with the noise. I have only had mine for about 2 weeks or so, so I cannot help with the mileage issue. I got the tires from a local shop that had them about 50 bucks cheaper per tire than 4wheel parts plus got the 3+1 deal. I only paid 458 for all four mounted and balanced, but I did go in with new rims in hand and they didnt have to jack up that heavy truck so they gave me 20 dollars off of the normal mounting and balancing.
I have extreme ATs in the 35x12.5x18 size. I only have about 1000 miles on them so far. They perform very well in the sand pulling or pushing my 14000lb beast.
I ran a set of 31" Pro Comp Mud Terrrains on my '93 Grand cherokee laredo. I put over 50k on them without a single problem. Much quiter than most mud terrains and half the price of Goodyears MTRs(almost the exact same tire). Like some have said they worked the best in snow. I have a set of BFG ATs on my f250 now because the dealer game em to me half off but as soon as these get close to worn out I am switching back to Pro Comps.
I have 305 70 R16 Xterrains on my truck (03' f250SD) had them for 2 years. Treadwear is not all that great, but I expected that. They are a bit noisy. On pavement performance is very good, much better than the stock Generals, but the Xterrains don't like heavy rain and any higher speed than a snail's pace, they are darn near skis in deeper water. My next set of tire are probably going to be 36" irocs when I get my 6" lift.
I been talking with one of my buddies about his Toyo MT he has about 30.000 miles on them they are showing wear but he should get anounter 20.000 to 30.000 miles out of them he drive a lifted F150 4X4 4 door so he has some weight on them.
I think I pay the extra cash and get the Toyo's.
My buddy told me he has ran a set of Pro comp tires in the past he told me you get what you pay fore and he going to put anouther set of Toyo after this set wears out.
