Will going from the stock 32" tire to a 35" tire require a recalabration of the computer? In other words will my 5.4 shift and drive like it should with out a gear change? Also I got the 18X? wheels. How wide are the stock 18" wheels? I want to put on the Mickey Thompson MTZ's on.
Yes. You will need the PCM re-calibrated for the larger tires. If you do not, the mileage will be off...and so will your shift points.
FYI...Hope you have the 4.10s in the rear...since you have the 5.4L. If not, your SD will be slow off the line...and feel sluggish. The 3.73s and the 35" tires will not work well together.

I think they are 8". I just put 33" Mickey Thompson MTZs on, and they fit great. I've only got about 50 miles on them, but I've got a work crew coming up to the ranch tomorrow, so if I don't get stuck I'll know they are doing the job. I like the 33", since they are the same size as stock, but the 35" would look great, too. (Better, some might say.)
