Nice truck UT, congrats on the new 6.0.

How are those new 4.30s?

There is a definate difference between 3.73 and 4.30 gears... At 70 mph, it is about 350 rpm higher (2000 vs 2350) although quite a bit quicker response off the line. Funny thing is, this vehicle seems nimble around town

Yeah...the gears make it feel lighter off the line, and the coil spring front end turns a lot tighter on the newer trucks.

All-in-all, I'm very happy with my truck. Tight parking lots can be a chore sometimes, but other than that, it's a great truck in-town. I can't believe I'm driving a big truck.

Give us an update when you've got 500+ miles on it and you've towed your boat around.

I"m going to take the plunge as well due to incentives. Trading up from my 04 dually (see my other thread about options). Can you guys give me an update on the mileage on your duallys with 4:30 gears? I get 14.5 around town and 16.5 on the hwy with my 4:10s in my current truck. I'm a bit leary about the 4:30s.

Greg, I asked a similar question in the thread listed below:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...hlight=DRW+mpg

I've got 850 miles on mine and averaging 14.4 mpg, which is about all I was hoping for... Highway is 15-16 mpg provided I don't exceed 75 mph.
