I have a 06 f250 6.0 liter with 118,000 and stock with an edge evolution only used for the guages and an afe filter. I was towing a boat thru the desert with mild grades when my engine light came on. I checked dts and it said p0299 ts/ underboost. The truck ran fine but it would have a high turbo whine. I reset it and it did it again about 150 miles. When I am not towing it is fine any suggestions?

Most everyone on here will tell you the turbo is corroded and/or carboned up and needs cleaning. I had a similar problem but it turned out the pin that engages the slot in the unison ring wore a small notch in the ring causing it to hang up just long enough to throw a code. Just something else to check.
If you've never taken the turbo out, that alone can be anywhere from a 15 minute to multiple hour ordeal. Once it's out, it's a fairly involved 10-page process, but if you take your time there's nothing horribly difficult about it.
If your Private Messages work, send me one with your email and I'll send you some turbocharger info that's floating around on the forums about how to do this.
