just got everything installed on my 302 swap , hit the starter
click ,click .... so i automaticly think the worst..locked up
(when the motor was out it did get some water in it that leaked throught the roof of my my aluminum carport cover into the intake so i drained that oil and fogged it w/ wd40 and sea foam and poured oil into the valley and into the intake ports ) so i figured i was ok .....
so here i am w/ the plugs out spraying prodigious amounts of wd40 , pb blaster and valvoline onto the tops of the piston , hit the starter and click click
seems like the starter is seizeing, so i check the batt terminals and the
+ terminal was really loose , i tightened it up good and hit the ignition
it turned over about 3 times (shooting a lubricant cocktail all over the
fender aprons from the spark plug holes ...alas its ok right ...
put the plugs back in and wires back on and i am getting that
click click crap from the starter again ...@#&*
so what do you guys think partially locked up or just a starter problem
any ideas ....
there is no partial lock up. its either locked up or not period. take a large socket and turn the motor over by hand. if that goes well then you need a new starter.
there was a battery trouble ..............I am a D.A.
the battery was new and i made shure it was charged .....???? it must be bad
i threw my redtop optima in there and it kicked it in the @$$
i couldnt turn it by hand either ???
