yes it does .That is how mine is connected. the time is adjustable up to 40 seconds. the dei website has owners guides that you can download: www.directed.com/guides/ogs.asp

Unless you have experience and access to DEI's DirecWire database, I would pay a DEI authorized dealer to install it. DirecWire gives you the specific wiring diagram and any special installation instructions for your vehicle. Even the installation manual that comes with the unit is useless without this info. Since you have a 7.3 PSD, I don't believe you'll need a pulse-timer relay for your wait-to-start. I believe that Ford hadn't gone to the BUS instrument cluster on the SD's, so there is still a wire you can tap into for the WTS light.
