Not too hard to do, easier if you have an engine hoist to lift the rear of the truck. Make sure you support the truck on the frame, though.
Aux. springs on that year truck is a secondary leaf pack that sat on top of the main leaf, and had it's own pair of stops it hit to work. There was also the flex-o-matic setup, which was an odd looking s-shaped bracket on the rear of the spring, which effectively shortened the spring when the truck was loaded, making it a two-stage leaf. IIRC, these springs were about two inches longer, but I -think- you can replace the assembly with a standar shackle and run regular springs.
Alright, Jared; I'm going to order replacement leaf springs thru LMC Truck. I have hard jack stands I can set under the axle. Then a hydraulic lack to ease the back up till the springs float, and start undoing the existing original springs...
