question on guages

I've got 2 gauges. Trans temp and egt. THe egt was installed by PO, but i'm not sure its in the right location. my friend has an 05 with the banks 6 gun kit. His reads higher than mine at all times. I think His sensor is in the manifold. Just wondering if this is where i should put the egt sensor on my truck? 92 F350 7.3 non-turbo

Also, the trans temp sensor, no nistructions with it. Just the guage and sensor, Where should this sensor be placed? Inline or in te pan? Thanks for the help.

Where is your pyro mounted now if not in the manifold?

i think its down in the y-pipe. its been cold lately and the truck won't fit in the garage. I just want to make sure it's supposed to go in the maniflod like i thought.

it don't have to go in the manifold, the banks turbo kit mounts the pyrometer probe in the turbo housing to get a combined reading fron both pipes. as long as you keep your egt's under 1100º, you will be fine.
as for the trans temp sender, it should be mounted in the pan.
