The people I usually see get away with stuff like that are the people who don't know any better. A friend I went to school with broke his u-joint once and made some god- awful contraption out of a bungee cord and 2 screw drivers and fixed it and drove it for a few days like that. He didn't know any better so he had no problem. If I tried that I wouldn't make it 20 feet.
