Level2, your mpg sucks, I have an 04 xlt supercab, 4x4, 4.0 sohc, 410 gears, and a 5-speed, and I get 18 to 19 in town, 21 to 22 highway. I mean I believe you, I just don't understand why there is such a wide variation in equally equiped rangers. I know your truck came with BFG 31-10:50'S, but I'm running BFG 265/75-16, and some engine mods. When I run my 93 octane setting on my bama programer, I can even get 1 to 2 more mpg, depends on my foot, I like to play with the added hp. It's not just you, it seem that ranger mpg is over the charts, from poor to good, I don't know if it's the part of the country where people live, or what, it sure is wierd.

It's mostly in the right foot, although high elevations can increase mileage quite a bit....

I live in northern ohio, and it's flater than a pancake up here. My ranger is hotroded, and I love to play, and I still get what I think is decent mpg, I don't know what the answer is.

Yeah I gotta get some pics of it soon. I did fill it up tonite and its 17.5 mpg. Thats is great to me for a new truck with a automatic running on very hilly roads in New Hampshire.
