In the process of rebuilding the carb and while disconnecting the kickdown lever I noticed a worn and broken plastic or nylon bushing where the kickdown lever attaches to the pin on the carb linkage. It is the bushing inside the hole at the top end of the kickdown lever. Is this replaceable? I can't seem to find this part.
Thanks for any help.
I just bought one of them at Ford. Can't remember the part number, but if you have a Ford dealer locally with the part catalogs on microfilm, they can call up an image of your linkage and you can point it out to them.
I am working on a '76 F250 460 C6. Where the kickdown rod connects to the carb linkage, on the flat part of the kickdown rod is a plastic bushing that slides over the pin on the linkage, and then the circlip holds the end of the rod on the pin.
If you can help I will be very happy.
Thanks
I should have mentioned, I have tried the HELP section (Dorman Products) at 3 stores and had 1 of them look in the master catalog. I cannot find it. Am I the only one with a worn out bushing?
The bushing for your truck was only serviced in the kickdown rod.
Part number D5TZ-7A187-A which is obsolete. I ran a locator and there is no one out there that has it. I looked in LMC truck catalog and they do not show it.
So you may wish to try some of these part numbers and join the mickey mouse club.
D5AZ-7341-C 3/8 id x 1/2 long x 15/32 od x 11/16
D5AZ-7341-A 7/32 id x 21/32 od
this is the most popular bushing used in many cars and trucks for the kick down bushing but I do not have the size.
EOAZ-7F330-A
go to local dealer and ask to look at these part numbers and maybe you can make one work.
