Please help! My '95 psd is blowin' fuses left and right! The fuse for the gpr keeps blowing. I have changed the gpr and I'm STILL blowin' fuses. Of course without that fuse my baby doesn't want to start in the cold, let alone at all.
If you're blowing # 22 I hear that it's prob the fuel heating element in the fuel bowl. Haven't had the prob myself, but seems pretty common. You can unhook it at the bowl and see if that does it.Good luck w/it.
No WTS sounds like your fuel heater is shorting out. There's a wire you can unplug to disable the heater on the drivers side of the fpr, i forget which one though, some people just unplug it anyways cuz they don't need it. Or you can take the filter out and look for the wire at the bottom if it's grounding itself out.
brian which wire is it the top one or the bottom one. One has a big plug the other is smaller (lower). checked gpr it good, put on buddy's truck and worked. thx 79.
Its the upper one with the bigger plug on it. THANK YOU GUYS THANK YOU THANK YOU. You just made my day. I just found my new hang out spot! I have done a lot of the work on my truck myself but had not encountered this problem. THANKS AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
