I have a 1968 F-250 with a 390. I am looking for the correct part number for the right side Exhust manifold. I am rebuilding the truck and I bought new exhust pipes, the right side does not line up. The currently manifold is a C8AE-9430-A
I don't have that early of a manifold here to know the exact number, but your truck should have a C8TE-xxxx manifold on it. The car manifolds do flow better, but I believe the right hand pipe will interfere with the frame.
Thanks for the reply. I am now in the market for a right hand exhust manifold. I did find some more info out after your post, here is a link that shows a truck exhust. http://personal.atl.bellsouth.net/b/...st/Exhaust.htm
My '68 with a 360 has the rear-exit log type manifold shown in your first link, 2nd and 3rd pics. I had it off last week to resurface the flanges and was somewhat surprised to note a C5AE casting number. I can't read it now to get the suffix since the heat riser is on it, but if you like I can pull it off and get the rest of the number. It'll be C5AE-9430-(?)

I looked at a manifold in my garage and it is the same as the one you're looking for. You can also use a D2TE-9430-AA they are identical.
Thanks for the offer but it is not necessary, I am going to look at a local wrecking yard on Monday I think I seen a set of manifolds under the hood of a 70' PU the other day. Of coarse that was before I knew I needed one. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

You might double check to see if place you got your new pipes gave you the right ones?? Are you could go to muffler shop and get them to custom fit it! Any how GOOD LUCK!!!
Tim, I agree that you might have incorrect pipes.
Bob goes into a lot of detail with his info pages. If you will click on the home button at the bottom and and then click on his manifiold you will see that he has more.
I have been kicking around the idea of putting a drivers side manifold on the passenger side and using a custom bend pipe.
I got one from a friend here in town, cleaned it up a little and it works just fine. The part number was a C0TE-**** (I left my note up in the shop). He had two of them one had the larger outlet, but the smaller one lined up with my pipes.
After reading about the poor design of the manifold and then taking a close look at this one I can certainly see why a person would want to go with the left side manifold. I am trying to go as stock as I can, so I wanted to stay with the original manifold.
