Had a fun day of trying to replace a valve cover gasket, put the air plenum back on, started it up and it idled like I had it floored. Replaced the air plenum gasket and it idles close to the same, but now I have no power it seems. I have to floor it almost to get any power from the motor. Would this still be from a leak somehow? Its on a 93 F-150 with a the 5spd.

You sure you connected the PCV vacuum hose back? It is on the bottom side of the plenum and goes to the pcv on the back of the valve cover. Easy to forget, as its difficult to see.
I would have to agree with optikal, most likely a severe vacuum leak.
Me three! Busted plastic vac line. The plenum is hard to screw up.
A hand-operated vac-pump kit with gauge might help you find out where the leak is.
Edit I wonder is the truck almost OK? I wonder if the computer is still in shock from the original "over-revving" condition.
There is a chance that maybe it needs to be cleared by re-setting the CPU and let the engine find its correct mix. Kill the power for a few minutes and reset the computer.
Or pull the codes first, then reset the computer.

Thanks, and sorry for the long delay. It is working a whole lot better after I put the new gasket on. I will try clearing the cpu and let you know. Thanks again.
