intake plenums E-99

Ok I have taken off my Turbo OMG what a ordeal that has become. But some questions here.
1) I have the larger intake plenums from a late 99 engine laying here would it be worth installing them? IE power gains? I am going with a new RIFF RAFF 4/4 wheel BTW.
2) I broke my BPEV connector so I was thinking of removing the flapper inside the housing. Is that a bad idea in the frozen tundra?
3) I had a EX leak between the turbo center section and the "sea shell" is there a gasket they make for that? Or is it a iron to iron machine fit like the head to EX manifold? If so I am going to have to re-machine this Not that I can't just have to put it in the bridgeport or resurfacer.

I wouldn't bother with the later plenums because of the boot sizing and alignment won't be right.

It isn't a bad idea to delete the EBPV but do the delete pedestal as well so you don't have an oil leak down the road.

The exhaust housing is mated metal to metal without a gasket. You are probably missing a couple bolts.

Mine is metal to metal too, but has no bolts. Just a big clamp. My clamp got weak and leaked a bit. New clamp all fixed. Also it has an indent that matches the butt. If its not aligned right it won't seat all the way. Should be tight and flush before the clamp goes on. The clamp just holds it, it doesn't pull it closed. The clamp does tighten it up, but it does not pull it in. It has to be lined up first, then clamped. I did that joint first, then tightened down my turbo bolts, its way easier moving the turbo.

Another note. The clamp it a PITA. Its real tight in there and its real easy to think the clamp is on right and its actually off center and not doing anything really. It looks on there, but may not be. I took several shots at it before I got it on right. Its easy to get one side of the clamp pinched in the groove between the pieces, and it still tightens down. I finally put it on, and spun it all the way around to be sure it was seated evenly on both pieces. Then tightened.

I do have the boots and intake plenums on another core engine here just was wondering if it was worth doing. As I am at that point already.

Having issue with one bolt in the EX manifold. Guess there has to be one that rusted together and the bolt has broken off ;(

I will try and take a pic of the rusted surface between the turbo center section and the EX sea shell. I may take the turbo housing off that Van engine I have.

Here is a pic of the area I had a leak coming out of. On the right side of the pic you can see the pitting. This is one of the leaks I had soot come out of. This part mates to the center housing that bolts to the pad/pedestal that has the EBPV solenoid on it.
