Modem
I'm having little problem with modem so maybe somebody can help me. I have DSL and I'm using modem that DSL company sent me.
Problem is, starting from this morning, modem re-starts itself often. Once all lights on modem turn green I can go on the internet, but then same thing happens again.
What could be problem? Should I contact my DSL provider and ask from them to send me new modem or is it something I could fix by myself?

if you have more than 1 splitter in the line, or a bad splitter, that is a symptom. the modem looses its signal and has to hunt for it. it is also a symptom of a bad cable into the house. call the cable company, and explain what it is doing. they can send a signal through the line to check things. it may also only need to be updated, they can do that over the line also.

I have 2 splitters but only 1 of them is on the internet line. I doubt its bad since I had installed DSL just 2 weeks ago.
I'm gonna give them a call today and check what's wrong. We had really bad storm last night and modem re-started itself once last night during that storm. Then I shut down my computer and went to sleep and when I woke up this morning and went online modem re-started itself few times in few hours.

DSL is thru a telephone line. DSL with splitters??? Which do you have, DSL or cable broadband?
In any case the modem or something in the line is bad, call your provider.
Always use a router between your computer and the modem unless the modem has a built in hardware firewall.
