Well I finally got my rotors on Friday & did the deed yesterday. All 4 ball joints, all tierods, rotors, brake discs, & wheel bearings. I started at 8:30 am & finished at 6:30 pm.
Nothing too hard in the list... the huge C Clamp that I "borrowed" from Autozone worked great to press the ball joints in & out of axle knuckle, but perhaps the worst part was figuring out how to use the clamp.

Yeah, it took me a bit of thinking to use the press also.
Thanks for the tips on the clunking noise in front end. I replaced sway bar bushings. No help, even though I am sure they needed replacement. I still have a light knocking / clunking noise. I tried the ball joints by hand (moving tire, when jacked up, even kicking at tire, did not cause any motion or noise). Now, I am wondering about sway bar links and tie rod ends. Any thoughts?
Just Thought I would key in here-
I just posted a similar question on the superduty forum and I received a price of $1,350.00 from a local shop to replace the ball joints on my 2000 F350 CC LB PSD. I thought it was kind of high so I am going to tackle the install myself.
