extra gauges

i have a 93150 I6 5spd 4x4 and i offroad with it and was curious if it would be a good idea to get more gauges so that i can monitor stuff more accuratley? like trans temp, vacuum, voltage, oil temp, boost(i wish )... not for sure what i would need, or want just an idea. i thought of maybe doing this and get the A pillar gauge mounts, or overhead mounts.

any input would be great if its necessary, or just overkill. also with the A pillar gauges do those block your view too much? and are the overhead a better option?

This is pretty much a matter of personal preferance. Check my gallery - I have a few extra guages. I always add guages to suit my needs - like a tranny temp guage for monitoring temps when towing. I like the "A" pillar pods and no, they don't obscure any vision. My next acquisition will be an oil temp guage for the engine oil and a water temp guage to run in tandem with the Ford guage. I will have to tap a new port for the extra water temp guage though as I don't think that I can piggy back onto the factory unit.

Cheers!

Mike
