91 died while driving

My 91 f150 w/351 died while accelerating from a stop. I thought I ran out of fuel since it was at a 1/8th of a tank. So I added some fuel and checked the fuel pump to see if it cycled and it did. So I tried to start it and nothin it just cranked. I checked for spark at the #1 plug wire and there wasnt any. So im guessing Ignition module or coil. Any thoughts on what caused my problem. Ill investingate it more 2mrw. Just thought Id get some opinions.

Thanks
Doug

Could also be the pick up coil inside the distributor. Check for loose connections around the coil. Maybe the engine twisting caused something to come unplugged.

After trying a coil and a Ignition module and still not getting anywhere. I called napa to warrantee my reman distributor since i was assuming the pickup coil was bad. Sure enough dropped it in and she started up. The dist was only 8mos old I guess they dont make quality parts like they used to ..
