Hi, This is my first post on this forum. I have an 03 F-250 w/ a 7.3 in it. I just put a TS Performance 6 position chip in it. The performance is great, but now it dosn't want to start in cold weather. It acts like the glow plugs are not working, with the typical white smoke and all. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or has any suggestions. I don't think it is the GPR because it did this the first time after the chip was installed. PS it does not have the normal two relays that look like solinoids, it only has one for the intake heater. The GPR looks like a mini amp.
I just installed the same chip on my 01 and it starts no problem in Michigan cold as it has been. I would pull the chip and try without it and then you will know if thats the problem. If so TS has good help for you & I would contact them.
I figured out that the truck was Cal. emissions legal. So I called TS Performance, they said to send the chip back and they would reprogram it for this setup. Looks like the problem is solved. Thanks
