Question Steering Stabilizer Shock?

I have a 1965 F100 with a manual steering box and it has a steering stabilizer kit (shock absorber) attached to the Center Link and I Beam.
I'm acquiring all that is needed to put power steering in this truck.
Question: Do I need to remove this stabilizer shock or do I leave it on?

Most of your newer F series super dutys (99 and up ) have this as standard equipment. These trucks all have P Steering on them. They handle funny without it. It won't hurt to have it.
