Installation of Top Gun Customz new dual steering stabilizer 99-04 Super Duty
The unit arrived yesterday and man this thing is STOUT !! I used to have a dual Rancho on mine, but hated how low it hung.
Top Gun Customz has now made one for our 99-04's that goes up inline with the tie rod ends much like the 05-07's have.
I chose the bilstein one 99-04 Ford Super Duty F250/F350 Dual Steering Stabilizer Black with Bilstein Cylinders @Top Gun Customz But they make a non bilstein that's less expensive.
The installation instructions leave a lot to be desired, but the install is very simple - should take you less than an hour.
Pics don't really do this bracket justice - this thing is BEEFY
Here's all the hardware that comes with it :
Note these two little spacers - they go on the center bracket, below the bracket above the shock head
First - remove the two left bolts on the front diff cover. Two of the holes of the main bracket line up over these. There are 2 supplied bolts to replace the ones you remove.
The rest of the bracket clamps around the axle tube and is held on with 4 bolts. That part is pretty self explanatory.
What really lacked on the instructions was alignment of the tie rod end brackets. Make sure you turn the drag link adjuster sleeve so that the bolts are not in front of the drag link, or they'll hit your stabilizers.
Next place the drivers side bracket on the tie rod in and just spin the nuts on so that it's still loose.
The instructions call for the dimensions to be 20.25" from center to center of the bolts. I put a bolt in the center and clamped in a ruler
Then was able to put half of the "U" bolt through the end to get the bracket to line up where it needed to be.
Repeat the same way to measure for the passenger side. NOTE - the "U" bolts will be going on the thicker part of the ball joint bar so you'll have to spread them a little or tap them down with a hammer
Install the boot end of each stabilizer on the outer ends. NOTE - the stabilizer bushing sits on TOP of the mount on the outer ends
Next mount the stabilizers to the center bracket. This is where the aforementioned black spacer will be needed. NOTE the stabilizer bushing sits BELOW the center bracket.
NOTE : Be sure to put a washer between the shock and the black spacer !!
The logo stamped part goes in the middle as well and is just for decoration. It comes bare metal but I chose to make it red.
Took it for a test drive and you can feel it as you turn the wheel. Just a little more resistance. Haven't hit any pot holes yet to feel the true effects but I'll post back when I drive it more.
All in all this is a SOLID piece and already very happy with it.

Looks bada$$ man.. Hope your business with them goes better than mine. They sent me the wrong shock for my truck (werent for this truck to begin with), and yet to have answered/replied to my calls/emails....take a gander atthere "feedback" on ebay. If i knew then, they would have not got my $$$

no sir not a drop - the seal never broke ...
it was $310.00. They make a standard shock / non bilstein one that's $160.00. Here's the link to the one I bought :
99-04 Ford Super Duty F250/F350 Dual Steering Stabilizer Black with Bilstein Cylinders @Top Gun Customz
Here's the non bilstein version : http://www.topguncustomz.com/Store/G...view=250427029
Pop you can leave it off. It's just an aluminum cosmetic and cover piece. After it takes some abuse from the road I'll probably remove it.
