Does anyone have instructions and part list for a coolant filter install.
Newby to the 6.9. Truck is an 87 F250 6.9 4x4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Red are supply hoses and blue are return
NAPA 4019 filter base
NAPA 4070 coolant filter
2 Brass T's
a few hose clamps
5/8 heater hose
Plumbed in parallel between the heater hoses
total cost under 100.00
If you use the 4071, I think that's the right number, filter it's precharged with SCA's. That's assuming the IDI's require the same SCA's the newer trucks use.
Using a precharged is a good idea, at first i would use a plain filter and plain on changing it every month for a bit.it took about a month for mine to gunk up, easy way to tell if its gunked up is after the truck is hot the filter will remain cold
