Question Clutch Question slipping??

I havent owned this truck long and I am still learning a lot for everone out there. It is a 94 turbo 7.3 with 5 speed. My question is driving down the road in 4th and 5th after 40 or so miles when i accelerate heavily the rpms jump like the clutch is slipping. Every now and then when I take it out of gear the shifter shutters. But they other day I could not make it happen. It goes into reverse and 1st just fine all the time so far. Is the sights of failure or am I imagining things. I just wanted to ad that I love the info in here it is very helpful. Love this old truck just want to keep her running strong. Thanks

i am not sure if the 94 still used the dual mass flywheel, but that is a classic sign of a bad flywheel. everything is fine for a while, then it seems like the clutch is slipping in fifth gear. stop the truck, and do a burnout in first .get back to fifth, and it slips again. stop, let it cool off overnight and it is good till you get about 1 hours driving in then slips again
