I just looking for a pair of chrome wire mesh headlight stone guards for my 78. It has the 79's light, bezels, etc. So I need the rectangle ones. Anybody know where to find them? I think JC Whitney used to have them. So did the Carquest in my hometown. Now I can't find the anywhere. I find the 7" round ones everywhere but when I ask they can't get the rectangle ones and don't know who makes them. Can anyone help?
I have them on mine and about 3 extra sets because they eventually rust out.
I know the box they come in is Yellow & Black.
I'll do some searching for you and I know I can get some at the swap meet in Red Deer in May.
If you have a swap meet coming up in your area ,that's where you see this kid of stuff.
Some parts store also have some OLD stock of these.
Hey thanks guys. I found a couple pairs of black ones on Ebay. I could repaint them if I had to. But I don't like the fake chrome finish. I just may have to make my own. I have some 3/16 stainless wire screen That I'm gonna put on the inside of my grill. Maybe I'll have enough left over.
