I have heard alot of good things about putting headers on. I have not done alot of research on these yet, because I will wait for spring to do those. On my truck, the EGR tube goes into the front the passenger side manifold. Do they make headers to reconnect this. If not, what do I with it? 351H
yes they do. the key with headers is you want quality so expect to pay a decent amount. Personally any header under $200 isnt worth buying.
Gibson, JBA, Edelbrock, BBK , Bassani all have great quality products. these are stock replacements so they should accomidate your needs nicely. if you can also look into the Bassani Y pipe either the offroad version or the cat version. on our rigs the manifolds and stock Y pipe is the real bottleneck. you open these up and you will notice both power and mpg gains.
I put a set of pace setter ceramic coated headers on mine. They mounted to the block fine, but the air tube location was a little off and the exit ports didn't line up too easily with the factory exhaust.
i just got a set of pacesetter headers for my 99 f250 superduty with the 5.4.they are not supposed to fit the superduty for some reason.only the standerd duty f 250.i did notice the tube is on the back of the header, but on the front of the original manifold.the angles and so forth look correct.has any one tried this.the headers are 200 cheaper than gibson and look really well made.
