Well I want some headers for my truck. Its a 77 Ford F-150 2x4 with a 460. Do you know anything about Flowtech 460 headers or L&L 460 headers? Will I have to notch the frame or lift the engine? Its an automatic also if that helps. Thanks alot guys and please help me I'm in a hurry.
flowtech headers are cheap headers...smal falnges that will warp and leak, burn out gaskets.... also they will rust androt out over time, be smart and pay the extra cash for the l&l's, they have 1.2 inch flanges at the exhaust port, and 3/8 at the collector, i have had mine for almost a year, i have not had to replace and gaskets yet..i know there is a guy on here who has had some for 3+ years without messing with gaskets. also they have a lifetime warranty against rust, like weldman said, go with the heavy ones...the l&l..
the flowtech is probably a pain to install anyway, i bet the l&l's will slide right in like the did on my 250
I've got a 79 Bronco with a 460 and I just put a pair of l&l fenderwell headers on it and I love them. Looks great, sounds great.
Life time warrenty against corrosion. Didn't need to lift the engine and very minimal fender triming. Cost was about $440 plus shipping, a little spendy but well worth the money. Installed in an afternoon.
