Thinking of changing over from programer (hypertech). To a modual like the edge or banks 6 gun. Which seems to work better. I know there are pros and cons on both. But would appreciate the feedback. I had a chip before but that didn't work out as the clips lossened up and shorted out the computer leaving truck dead in the water and the Admril not real happy.
The hypertech is ok but even on the stage 3 they claim 125 HP boost is not as good as the 50HP chip.
These moduals just piggyback the conctions right and are bolted in not just a clip?
Also they offer some sort of gage options. I have a pyrometer. that is post turbo.
Thanks ahead for the input. LPR

I don't know about the Edge, but the 6-gun does just piggyback the stock connections.
I don't know what chip you had before, but I don't see how it could come loose. I just put in a DP chip from Jody this weekend, and there is no way that thing could back off the board. The chip fit snugly on the board anyway, but with a little tape over the end, it shouldn't every budge.
I'd call Jody @ DP Tuner and give the chip route another try. Having experienced all 3 (programmer, module, and a chip) I can say that I am the most pleased with the chip.
Yes. DP Tuner. And to support a Forum supporter, you can get a DP Tuner chip from <a href="http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?crn=118&rn=377&action=show_detail">ITP Diesel</a>.
Yeah the chip just slid on the end of thr board and I had tape over it to hold it tight but the clips would get hot and loosen up and short out. Looking at the clips you could see the gap that would develope. The guy I purchased it through said just take a pick and bend them back but a few days latter loose again.
Think "ll give Jody a call and see what he says about it though. Even though that edge with attitude looks pretty good. Thanks LPR
OOPS! My BIG mistake. Sorry. I thought ITP was, but they aren't. There is a forum sponsor that carries Jody's chips, but now I can't remember who.
Oh, well. Just go right to Jody Tipton and get what you want. It is the best thing I've done for my truck - and I don't mean just the power. The throttle is more linear, shifting is better, and the TC lockup really makes the automatic tolerable.
