hypertech chip

I have a 1993 5.8 bronco and it has a hypertech performance chip in it, i was wondering if i take the chip out if anything else needs to be done. Or is taking the chip out all you need to do?

You can just unplug it and then if you want you can send it to me. I need the plug and ribbon cable off of them to make a program sucker for PCM/EECs.

You do not need to do anything else to your truck.

Taking it out is all you need to do. The chip doesn't have a ribbon cable. Its a circuit board with a connector.

I have one hypertech for a 87-89 F series 302 and it has a plug with a 6-inch long ribbon cable and then a little box. I just need two more.
