I've got a very similar noise, and I've isolated it to the leaf springs on the front passenger side. I don't have a lift, but just a front leveling kit. When the springs get dry and a little rust between them, it's my thought that they start rubbing against each other and make a knocking or popping sound. If I spray some penetrating oil on the springs, being sure to get it between the springs the best I can, the noise usually goes a way for a couple of months until the sprins dry out again. May not be your problem, but it's worth a check.
Yeah, I'd say that's it. That's the exact same thing that I have. Try some lube on the leaf springs and see if that doesn't help. Cheap and easy to at least try.
poly bushings are good imo.
have you replaced the bushings on the drop links?, it's the bar at either end of the sway bar that attaches the sway bar to the frame?
Yes, I have replaced all except the ones on the axle that holds the sway bar. I can't find the right size. The ones I ordered were suppose to be right. The are a 1/4" to small dia.
in my experience the bushings on the sway bar against the axle will rattle and make a noise like you are describing, it depends how worn they are. I ordered my poly bushings from jegs, i think they were energy suspension and i had no problems with size. but i know that ford has used many different configurations for the sway bar on these trucks.
change those bushings and it might solve your problem
