Tru-Cool Mod

Got a couple of sunny days in a row and decided to install my Tru-Cool Max 4739 today. It wasn't really that tough to do but it is tough on the knuckles as it's tight down there. I finally got smart and slipped a piece of cardboard in front of the front cooler to protect it and my hands. The hardest part is getting the hoses down through the small area at the bottom left side. I also wrapped the hoses with plastic wire loom to protect them from rubbing on anything. In the gallery pictures you'll notice that I added a in line tranny filter, [Ford option] that changes every 30,000 along with tranny flush.

You'll love that 4379 in the summer. My tranny temps dropped dramatically here in Houston. I hardly see anything above 140 or so.

I'm looking forward to it. The idiot tranny gauge gave me a scare on our hunting trip. It was climbing up and the weather wasn't even that warm. I now have a real tranny temp gauge plus the extra cooler and a real water temp and oil pressure gauge is somewhere in the mail right now. Those will mount in a under dash pod that fits in that little dent just to the right of your right knee.
