factory tachometer?

factory tachometer?
hello,i have had many 73-79 trucks,and always wondered if there was a factory tach avalible for these?i always thought that maybe it would go in lh a/c vent area.i thought i seen a clock there,but i cant remember,thanks for any info,mike

Not aware that Ford ever offered anything in the LH AC vent area except a vent and a cover with the Ford crown logo on it. There is no tach offered in the 76 light duty trucks according to the owner's manual I have. I don't think there was one in any of the 73-79 models. The Indy edition may be an exception.

Friend of mine has a 78 F600 4x4 with a factory tach but it looks like the same dash as the 67-72 medium duty trucks. Have probably owned/cut up for parts 40 or more 73-79 Fordpickups 100-350s and have never seen a factory tach. Got a factory cb radio once. That was pretty cool because it still worked.
