Woooohoooooo!!!!!
guess he has not run up against a chiped, dyno tuned, headered, cold air kit. 3 valve v10 with 4:56's yet.
sorry big guy but a good running v10 is capible of 15 highway. and i don't have a lieometer , full tank, trip, gals used, div. by miles driven on a hand calculater = mpgs my best for a fact was 16 with my mother in law rideing shot gun on a 145 mile each way highway trip running 75 mph..
I'm sure he probably meant an Excursion....hmmm, that was difficult to figure. But maybe the noxious diesel fumes were throwing off your thought process a little.
Ohhhhh, a MOD'd 6.0. Yeah, that's a little different animal. How's your warranty by the way?
Lay off the BSEG! Ahhhh, yer just the jealous type.
Have a nice day premiers x, we'll enjoy our $5200 gas voucher as you drive the diesel.
Don't these guys ever get tired of that crap?

That's what I've been doing lately when someone is so far out there that it's not worth a response.
So, if I seem to ignore anyone, it's because they're a fool...
yes rich that $5200.00 gas ticket is going a long way now. i kind of like having it. plus i can hear my radio or my thinking and enjoying my drives, having a truck my wife likes to drive. lots of pluses to a v10. guess the biggest was no long extension cords in the winter to plug that thing into so it starts. man i don't miss that in any way or form.

Like I always say, if I towed heavy some times or towed allot or lived where I was in the mountains all the time I would get the PSD. But I do not think I would get the PSD to race as a dragster.
Wow, go figure. A TURBO charged engine that is quick. What a friggin shocker!
Let me take that same turbo or supercharger and slap it on a v10 and we'll see who's running silly. Not to mention the 400 - 600 lbs lighter weight, that wouldn't help any.
Mommy, where do stupid people come from?.....Well honey, it all started with a man named Rudolph.........
BFR don's flame retardant suit!
Sorry Krewat, had too. I have no tolerance for ignorant folks that think that their way is the only way.

Call that little display what you like. Thats close enough for me to trust it from now on! Sorry you diesel guys are all so angry! The service guy at my rv dealership told me his 2002 7.3 liter averages 14 mpg. So for $5 grand he's beating me by 2 mpg at best and buying more expensive fuel... Enough said.
If you've got a stock diesel and want to race my stock V10, just send me an e-mail so we can meet up and bring about 4 grand with you cash. The guy talking trash looses his money... Fair enough!
I hope you only see this as food for thought. But I only lost $700 trading in my 04 diesel for my new truck. Less than it would have cost me if I had kept it and continued to throw money away on something I wasnt happy with. Go talk to your dealer! Dont get all PO'd because other guys are happy with what they've got!
I owe MANY of the guys on this site round of beer for all the great help and advise I got on what options to get on a new truck. If I hadent listened, and got stuck with ANOTHER $45 thousand dollar disapointment I wouldnt have anyone to blame / get mad at but myself! (MORE food for thought!)
Sorry BFR, I'm in favor of just keeping the V-10 just like it is. Hell, bone stock it is AWSOME!
And Big Cheese, I am getting 13 mpg on E-10(never tried dinosaur unleaded) using long hand division right along with my rig under easy driving and without a trailer. So you should too. But I have also dropped to 11 pulling NH3 tanks, to it takes fuel to make work. Enjoy it. I don't think there is anything else like it in the world!

I know I'm MIGHTY glad I didnt think "these guys are all crazy talking about 4.30 gears" and just go off on my own stuborn way... OK, I DID think it once or twice...
But when THAT many people recommend something. There's a reason!!! And THAT is why I'll buy the beers all night if I ever met the guys that helped me out here! (YEP, you can hold me to that too!) Heck, I'd be stuck with a Chevy big block right now if I hadnt heard how great the V10 is on here! (not like you can just go to any dealer and test drive one of these beasts!)I'm picking up my new toy hauler camper Saturday... 11K pounds fully loaded, 1,300lbs tongue weight without the quads in the back to balance out the load. I'll let you guys know what THAT does to the big black beast!
I'm thinking the remote starter IS going to wait at least till summer for install (I dont have a garage!). I trust my electrical skills more than the kids working at the dealership, or the local truck accesories shop, so its gonna be a "do it yourselfer all the way". If those kids at Best Buy can install these things all day and get it right I'm pretty confident... No offense "kids" at Best Buy, but I've seen wire connections made with only electrical tape on them. NOT cool.
