Max memory for a 6L is 9MB. Also in my printer properties the max only goes up to 9218kb (9MB). I was having memory trouble with mine, which is why I bought the 1012.
My daughter and her husband bought the cheap Lexmark on sale at Wallyworld and have liked it so far. I have the HP and part of the reason I like it is the printer head comes with the cartridge. I buy refilled cartridges and haven't had any problems with them. I had a Canon before but it seemed like I was always having to be changing one cartridge after another.
Don't by a DELL PRINTER, you have to buy the ink from dell.
I have bought two HP 4 in 1 Printer/copier/scaner/fax from a local trift store and they have work fine. I have had them both for two years and no problem.
I used the copier function on the HP PSC 1500 today for some tax forms and it worked absolutely flawlessly. Better even than the stand alone Cannon PC 300 copier I have. The toner cartridge in that thing has lasted 5 years tho...
