yeh, this one has one, somewhere, this truck has all emission components for california compatible..so it is said in the haynes book anyway, plus i got the duraspark III distributor in it, which doesnt help much with determining my knocks,on account that its slow to retard, or advance in any rapid acceleration., so, anyway i know a knock sensor is there, i just dont know where??
Try going to fordfuelinjection.com and click on "sensors" scroll down to see a picture and some info on typical ford kanock sensors.(yes, I mean KAN-NOCK)If yours is bad I'll eat my hat. The wiring is probably bad, if anything.
It is common to get a code 225 during dynamic testing or "Key on/engine running" when trying to get some diagnostic help from the PCM.
yeh, i forgot about the codes...it would probably indicate if the sensor went south,
i still wanna know where it might be just fer ****s. thanks for the direction though.
